MTV Star Diem Brown’s Funeral Held in NYC

Mychal Watts/WireImage(NEW YORK) — Diem Brown’s funeral was held in New York City Tuesday.
Brown, a recurring cast member on MTV’s The Challenge, lost her lengthy battle with cancer last Friday at the age of 32.
Us Weekly reported that the service, held at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, was attended by many of her fellow MTV stars, including her former flame Chris “CT” Tamburello, Ace Amerson, Ruthie Alcaide and Aneesa Ferriera.
Her casket was brought into the church as the hymn “On Eagle’s Wings” played. Following the opening procession, country singer Trisha Yearwood performed “I Remember You,” a song from her new album Prizefighter: Hit After Hit.
Brown was first diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2006, and then again in 2012. She was diagnosed for a third time this past August, this time in her colon. Last month, she revealed to People magazine that the cancer had spread to her liver and lymph nodes.
