Nick Cannon Says He’s Not Ready to Date, Post-Mariah

ABC/ Jeff Neira(NEW YORK) — Following news of his pending divorce from Mariah Carey, Nick Cannon is likely going to remain single for a while, or so he says.
When asked about moving on and possibly entering the dating scene, the America’s Got Talent host told People that he’s not ready yet.
“I’m good, man,” he said. “I’m great. There are a lot of people after me right now. I gotta slow it down. I’m trying to slow it down and stay focused. Family is the first thing and my kids are most important.”
As for what qualities he may be seeking in a new love, Cannon said, “I couldn’t even tell you right now. That’s a tough one. I haven’t thought about that one. I’m just taking it one day at a time.”
He added, “Obviously the dating thing will come down the line, but right now I’m just slowing down.”
