Ohio State Cruises Past Indiana, Clinches Big Ten Title Berth
Published at(COLUMBUS, Ohio) — (6) Ohio State clinched a Big Ten title berth in their 42-27 win over Indiana on Saturday.
Buckeyes running back Jalin Marshall scored four second-half touchdowns, including a 54-yard punt return in the third quarter.
Ohio State quarterback J.T. Barrett hit Marshall for the other three touchdowns and finished with four touchdown passes of his own and 302 yards.
“We’re conference division champions, we’ve won a bunch of games (nine) in a row,” said Meyer. “We have some work to do. Sometimes in college football, things don’t go exactly as scripted.”
Ohio State will wait on the winner of Minnesota and Wisconsin next week to decide their opponent for the title.
In the meantime, the win could increase their chances of getting one of the top spots in the College Football Playoff rankings that will be released on Tuesday.
