Police Searching for Man who Drove off with Boy

BOISE, Idaho (AP) – Police in southwest Idaho are looking for a man who acted suspiciously after picking up a teenager.
Eagle police officers report that a 14-year-old boy was running alone on Saturday after finishing a cross country meet when he was picked up by a man in a red pickup truck.
According to the boy, the man offered to drive him back to the meet site, but instead drove in the opposite direction and threw the teen’s cellphone out the window.
Police say the boy escaped by unlocking the door and jumping out of the vehicle because it was going slow on icy roads.
Authorities are now looking for the man, who is described as between 30 and 40 with close-cropped hair and a beard.
