At 13-3, the Raptors hold the best record in the Eastern Conference, with DeRozan being the team’s leading scorer.

Now in his sixth NBA season, all with the Raptors, the 25-year-old DeRozan is averaging 19.4 points on the season.

While there is no exact timetable for his return, according to Steve Kyler of Basketball Insiders, the injury could keep him out of action up to 12 weeks if it is determined he needs surgery.

DeRozan has missed just 11 games over five seasons before this injury, so now the Raptors must spread their offense around even more than they already do with Kyle Lowry, Terrence Ross, and Jonas Valanciunas.
