Stock Market Dips on Election Day

iStock/Thinkstock(NEW YORK) — Stocks mostly ended lower on Election Day.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed 17.60 points, ending the day at 17,383.84. The Nasdaq went down 15.27 points to 4,623.64, while the S&P 500 went down 5.71 points to 2,012.10.
Oil prices have sunk to their lowest level in three years following reports that Saudi Arabia is cutting its prices for customers in the United States.
JPMorgan Chase says the Justice Department has opened a criminal investigation into its foreign exchange business.
Ford has announced five new safety recalls in North America to fix a number of issues, including faulty brakes and sensors meant to engage air bags. The largest of the recalls is for 135,000 model year 2014 F-150 pickups and Ford Flex crossovers.
