US State Department’s OSAC Releases Report on Canadian Parliament Shooting
Published at(NEW YORK) — The U.S. State Department’s Overseas Security Advisory Council (OSAC) released a report on Tuesday on the shooting outside the Canadian Parliament that took place last month.
The report featured a detailed account of the shooting at the National War Memorial and inside the Centre Block, the main building of Canada’s parliament. Earlier reports that shots had also been fired inside the nearby Rideau Centre shopping mall were, however, dispelled.
The OSAC report indicates that the threat of terrorism in Canada, “is plausible given past terrorist actions and attempts, but there are no known terrorist threats against U.S. citizens or organizations in Canada.”
