William, 32, has teamed up with Angry Birds in his role as president of United for Wildlife to host a special Angry Birds tournament to raise awareness of the “critical threat to wildlife caused by illegal poaching.”

“By spreading the message about poaching, I hope you can be part of a movement that says no to poached ivory and rhino horn, and many other animal parts,” Prince William said in a statement. “With the help of Angry Birds, we have created an Angry Birds Friends tournament for the Pangolins, so you can have some fun while learning more about them and the wider issue of poaching.”

The game, called “Roll With The Pangolins,” features animated versions of the scaly ant-eater creatures, one of the world’s most critically endangered and trafficked animals who are hunted for their meat and their scales, according to United for Wildlife.

The week-long tournament kicked off Monday.

William was named president of United for Wildlife in September 2013.

He noted in a speech at a charity dinner that same month that he is involved in conservation work, in part, to make the world a better place for his son, Prince George, and other children.

“Like any new parents,” William said at the September 2013 dinner to benefit Tusk Trust, a British charity that funds conservation projects in Africa, “our thoughts inevitably turn to the world that our child will inherit. It is unfathomable to imagine a world in which children who have been born in the past couple of months may grow up in a world in which rhinoceros have ceased to live in the wild.”

The Duke of Cambridge and his wife, Kate, plan to travel to the U.S. next month. While Kate stays in New York City, William is scheduled to make a one-day trip to Washington, D.C., at least part of which will be on behalf of United for Wildlife.
