According to a State Department readout, U.S. officials expressed concerns about those very subjects and discussed the potential provision of psychosocial aid to the women and girls who escaped ISIS. There was no mention of specific additional aid within the readout.

“With our international partners, and the United Nations, we continue to look for every opportunity to help those who are suffering under [ISIS]’s barbaric and inhumane captivity,” the readout said. Noting American airstrikes, resupply missions and humanitarian aid, the State Department assured the Yazidi that the U.S. remains “committed to the protection of civilians from [ISIS]’s terror, and working with the international coalition to defeat [ISIS].”
