Ammon Declares Dec 17 Melvin Richardson Day

Ammon, Idaho — Ammon Mayor Dana Kirkham has declared Wednesday, Dec 17th to be Melvin Richardson Day. Richardson served on the city council and mayor in the 1960’s before serving in the state legislature for 20 years.
Richardson passed away last week at the age of 86. In the official declaration, Mayor Dana Kirkham honored Richardson for his “devoted, diligent, kind, and loving service to the residents of the city of Ammon.”
Flags in Ammon will be flown at half-mast Wednesday.
