Idaho Falls, Idaho — The ribbon was cut on the states very first behavioral health crisis center in Idaho Falls Monday. The 24 hour clinic will provide a place for people with mental health issues to be treated instead of taking them to jail or the hospital.

The Behavioral Health Crisis Center of Idaho is located in the old Builder’s Design Center building on the corner of Anderson and Holmes in Idaho Falls.

The Idaho Falls facility will serve as a test case. If it is successful, other such clinics could be built elsewhere in the state.
