Down Day on Wall Street, Despite ISM Report Showing Economic Growth

tarabird/iStock/Thinkstock(NEW YORK) — Wall Street tumbled on Monday, falling even farther from last week’s record highs.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 51.44, closing at 17,776.80.
The Nasdaq slipped 64.28 to a finish of 4,727.35, while the S&P 500 closed at 2,053.44, down 14.12 from its opening.
The Institute for Supply Management on Monday reported that economic activity in the manufacturing sector expanded in November, the 18th consecutive month in which that was true. The economy overall, according to ISM, also grew, for the 66th consecutive month.
