Facilitator of Peshawar School Attack Killed in Gunfight with Paramilitary Forces

mjbs/iStock/Thinkstock(PESHAWAR, Pakistan) — One of the main facilitators of the Peshawar school attack was killed in a gun fight with paramilitary forces on Thursday.
According to a Pakistani government official, the man and four other associates were involved in a gun fight with paramilitary forces on Thursday in the Khyber Tribal territory. Six of their companions were arrested.
On Dec. 16, 141 people — including 132 children — were killed when Taliban attackers fired weapons at a military-run school in Peshawar. Reports indicated that there were seven gunmen during the school attack, some of whom wore suicide vests.
The U.S. and other nations — and even the Taliban in neighboring Afghanistan — condemned the attack.
