Also joining the series is reality star and stylist Brad Goreski, who will join returning hosts Giuliana Rancic and Kelly Osbourne. George Kotsiopoulos, the show’s resident fashion guru, has apparently departed the show.

“I get it! These are some big shoes I’m going to fill. Joan was truly one of a kind.  Now I hope you will accept me for me,” the Emmy Award-winning comedian said in a statement. “I’m just Kathy. Did I say I’m just Kathy? I meant I’m Kathy F***ing Griffin and you celebrities better strap yourself in, as I am taking no prisoners. I am not holding back so dammit let’s have some fun!”

Rivers’ daughter, Melissa, who also serves as an executive producer on the fashion show, approves of Griffin. “Kathy just feels right, and Brad brings a fun, new voice to join Giuliana and Kelly in this ensemble. I’m excited to see where this panel takes this series my mother so adored in this next incarnation,” she said in a statement.

Reportedly, Griffin beat out Tyra Banks and reality star NeNe Leakes for the gig.

Fashion Police has been on hiatus since the death of Rivers on September 4 at the age of 81. The series will return January 12, 2015 with coverage of the Golden Globe Awards.
