Kathy Griffin Says for Joan Rivers’, She Won’t Hold Back on “Fashion Police”

ABC/Randy Holmes(LOS ANGELES) — Kathy Griffin recently confirmed she’s taking over for her friend, the late Joan Rivers, as the top cop on E!’s Fashion Police.
On Jimmy Kimmel Live! Tuesday, Griffin said in Joan’s honor, she won’t be holding back. “I understand I have some very large shoes to fill,” Griffin said. “I am giving no passes…I am going to bring the hammer down,” she said before cautioning the chat show host: “And you: you might want to up your game.”
“In what way?” Jimmy Kimmel questioned. “I’m tired of the same suit every time. I get it: It’s Gucci. It fits well. Yawn…Give me some sparkles. Give me a fig leaf. Take a risk for God’s sake,” replied Griffin.
Fashion Police has been on hiatus since the death of Rivers on Sept. 4 at the age of 81. The series will return Jan. 12, 2015 with coverage of the Golden Globe Awards.
