On Sunday, Bryant became the first player in NBA history to score over 30,000 points and have over 6,000 assists.

Bryant recorded his 6,000th assist midway through the third quarter during the Lakers’ overtime win over the Toronto Raptors.

“It’s a huge honor. It means I pass more than people say,” Bryant said after the game.

“He’s just an amazing basketball player. That’s the bottom line. He’s had an unbelievable career. He’s still going pretty strong,” Lakers head coach Byron Scott said. “There’s a lot left in that tank, it’s obvious. His accomplishments are just fantastic. To watch him continue to compete the way that he does at this level is remarkable.”

Bryant also recorded his 20th career triple double in the victory.

The 36-year-old Bryant is in his 19th NBA season, all with the Lakers. Entering Monday, Bryant is averaging 26.6 points per game, which leads the NBA.
