During the offseason, Faried signed a four-year extension with the team worth $50 million. So far, according to himself, he hasn’t lived up to his new deal.

“Awful…I just haven’t been playing my game,” Faried told the Denver Post. “I know it. My teammates know it. My coaches know it. Hopefully, this month of December, I turn everything around. But for me, it’s awful.”

“You’ve got to be able to look at yourself, look at the man in the mirror and say that to yourself. And be able to correct yourself,” he continued.

Through 17 games, the 25-year-old Faried is averaging 11.4 rebounds and 7.0 rebounds per game. Last season, he averaged 13.7 points and 8.6 rebounds per game.

At 9-8, the Nuggets are fifth in the NBA in scoring at 105.4 points per game but are 26th in points allowed at 105.2 per game.
