Preview Clip of Clooney’s “Downton” Sketch Released

ABC/Randy Holmes(LONDON) — We knew George Clooney was visiting Downton Abbey, but now we have the proof.
ITV released a preview clip of the charity sketch Clooney filmed with the Downton cast back in September. The clip features a few seconds of Clooney in character, followed by a graphic that reads “George has done his bit, now you can do yours.”
The sketch was filmed to promote the Text Santa charity campaign. It will air in full on Dec. 19 on ITV, during the annual fundraiser benefiting six U.K. charities.
According to The Telegraph, the full version features Lady Grantham — played by Dame Maggie Smith — fainting after getting a kiss from Clooney.
