While the broadcaster admitted to having legal clearance issues for archival footage used in Reinventing the Royals, British television and radio listings magazine Radio Times reports pressure from lawyers representing Charles and his wife, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, prompted the decision.

Reinventing the Royals reportedly revealed a spin campaign launched by the Prince of Wales to boost his image and that of his relationship with his now-wife Camilla Parker Bowles, following his ex-wife Diana’s fatal car accident.

The Radio Times claims Charles’ “spin doctor” Mark Bolland headed up the effort dubbed “Operation Mrs. PB,” and that the campaign also played upon the public’s affinity for Charles’ princely sons, Harry and William.

Officially, the network didn’t address a letter it received from the attorneys, saying only it would delay the airing until later in 2015, “while a number of issues including the use of archive footage are resolved.”
