Neilson Barnard/Getty Images(NEW YORK) — Yes, the rumors are true. Scarlett Johansson is a married woman.
The Lucy actress discreetly tied the knot with Romain Dauriac on Oct. 1 in Philipsburg, Montana. A clerk for Granite County confirmed the news to People.
Rumors have been swirling that two secretly got hitched shortly after welcoming their first child, daughter Rose Dorothy, in September. Johansson was also spotted earlier this month wearing what many speculated was a wedding band.
The 30-year-old actress and the 32-year-old French journalist were revealed to be engaged in September 2013. Six months later, Johansson shared news of her pregnancy.
Just hours after the news broke Monday, the couple made an appearance at the 2014 Gotham Independent Film Awards at Cipriani in New York City, where Johansson had a Best Actress nomination for her role in the indie drama, Under the Skin.
An eyewitness tells E! Online both Scarlett and Romain “wore their rings and were very lovey-dovey, kissing and acting very much in love,” noting, “She kept calling him ‘my husband.'”
“She definitely seemed like a very proud wife,” adds the source.
Johansson was previously married to Ryan Reynolds.
