Sen. Corey Booker Shares Highlights from First Full Year as US Senator
Published at(WASHINGTON) — New Jersey Sen. Corey Booker on Friday shared his top ten highlights from his first full year as a U.S. senator.
Booker named multiple accomplishments that he was involved in that helped his constituents. A number of his highlights also centered around his working with other senators from across the aisle.
The popular New Jersey Democrat named his work with Rand Paul, R-S.C., on the Redeem Act to help reform the criminal justice system and with Tim Scott, R-S.C., on the Leap Act to expand apprenticeship programs to his favorite parts of 2014.
He also noted one personal moment from 2014, his vegan Thanksgiving celebration.
His top highlight? “Spending this Nov & Dec in thankfulness for the honor and opportunity to spend 6 full years representing New Jersey in the Senate.”
