“The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies” Keeps Top Spot at Box Office
Published at(LOS ANGELES) — The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies took the top spot at the box office for the second weekend in a row, earning $41.42 million this weekend.
Unbroken came in second place in its first weekend in theaters. The war film, directed by Angelina Jolie, brought in $31.748 million.
This was also the first weekend in theaters for Into the Woods, which earned $31.021 million. The musical stars Meryl Streep, Anna Kendrick, Johnny Depp, Emily Blunt, and Chris Pine.
