US, Partners Conduct 10 Airstrikes Against ISIS in Iraq, Syria

iStock/Thinkstock(WASHINGTON) — The U.S. military, with help from partner nations, continued its attack against Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) targets in Iraq and Syria on Wednesday, launching 10 more airstrikes.
According to U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), seven of the strikes were in Syria. Five near Kobani destroyed five buildings and six fighting positions. Two others near Al Hasakah destroyed four oil derricks.
In Iraq, two airstrikes hit two tactical units near Fallujah, and one near Mosul destroyed two fighting positions and hit a tactical unit and another fighting position.
CENTCOM said all the airstrike assessments are based on initial reports.
