“American Sniper” Retains Top Spot at Box Office
Published at(NEW YORK) — For the second week in a row, American Sniper dominated the box office.
The film, starring Bradley Cooper, is about Chris Kyle, a former Navy SEAL and one of the deadliest snipers in U.S. military history. Kyle was killed at a Texas gun range in 2013, allegedly by a former Marine he was trying to help.
Jennifer Lopez’ The Boy Next Door finished the weekend in a distant second place, while Johnny Depp’s Mortdecai flopped, finishing ninth.
