Celtics Ship Jameer Nelson to Denver for Nate Robinson
Published at(NEW YORK) — The Denver Nuggets traded Jameer Nelson to Boston for Nate Robinson on Tuesday.
Robinson is expected to seek a buyout in his contract so he can sign on with a playoff contender, but will head to the Celtics for the time being.
If Robinson can get a buyout, the Clippers and Cavaliers could be one of the teams interested, reports ESPN NBA insider Brian Windhorst.
Nelson, who was acquired in the deal that Boston made with the Mavericks for Rajon Rondo, is averaging a career low 6.8 points through 29 games.
Nelson also has a player option in his contract for next season for $2.8 million.
