The 22 Jump Street star posted on Facebook Monday, “How do you say October 7, 2016 in Cajun?”

For those who are fans of the X-Men franchise, obviously Tatum is referring to the card-throwing character Gambit, who has strong ties to New Orleans. Gambit first appeared in the early 1990’s. The only time we’ve seen the X-Men great in any of the movies has been in 2009’s X-Men Origins: Wolverine, where Taylor Kitsch played the role.

Now with Tatum at the helm, he’s getting his own movie in 2016.

The Magic Mike star was first confirmed by X-Men producer Lauren Shuler Donner as the card-throwing Gambit, real name Remy LeBeau, back in May. Donner told Total Film, “It is Channing, yes, yes.”

Gambit will be coming out five months after the new X-Men: Apocalypse hits theaters on May 27, 2016.
