Hezbollah Claims Israeli Strike Killed Fighters

MatthewBrosseau/iStock/Thinkstock(GOLAN HEIGHTS, Syria) — An Israeli air strike may have killed five Hezbollah fighters in the Syrian area of the Golan Heights.
According to BBC News, Hezbollah announced that several of its fighters had been killed through its media arm al-Manar TV. Hezbollah said that the fighters were conducting field reconnaissance. BBC News reports that Israel claims those targeted were doing reconnaissance for an attack.
The strike comes just days after Hezbollah’s leader warned that his forces might retaliate in response to what he deemed Israeli strikes inside Syria.
