Katy Perry to Welcome Lenny Kravitz as Super Bowl Halftime Guest

ABC/Richard Harbaugh(NEW YORK) — Looks like Katy Perry will indeed have a special guest with her when she plays halftime at the Super Bowl in February, but it won’t be Pharrell Williams as rumored. Instead, Katy will welcome Lenny Kravitz to the stage.
The NFL tweeted, “Joining @KatyPerry during her @pepsi @superbowl #halftime show on @SNFonNBC? Mr @LennyKravitz. Feb 1 can’t come soon enough!”
Lenny will presumably lend a bit of a rock edge to what will no doubt be a pure pop extravaganza, which will take place in Glendale, Arizona on Feb. 1.
And in recent years, it’s become popular for the Super Bowl halftime headliner to bring out special guests: think of Bruno Mars and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Beyonce and her Destiny’s Child bandmates, Madonna and Nicki Minaj, and The Black Eyed Peas and Slash, for example.
Katy will appear on NBC’s Today show on Monday, where she’ll likely discuss Lenny’s guest appearance.
