The Facebook CEO, who has vowed to read a book every two weeks focusing on cultures, beliefs, history or technology, revealed his second book club pick is a page-turner from psychologist Steve Pinker that argues violence in humanity has declined over time.

Zuckerberg called Steven Pinker’s The Better Angels of Our Nature: Why Violence Has Declined a “timely book about how and why violence has steadily decreased throughout our history, and how we can continue this trend.”

Since the book is 832 pages long, Zuckerberg said he’ll take one month to read it but will keep with his resolution by naming another, shorter book in two weeks to complement the longer read.

When it comes to billionaires and book clubs, Zuckerberg, like Oprah Winfrey, seems to have a Midas touch in choosing books.

His first book club read, The End of Power by Moisés Naím, shot up on bestseller charts and was even briefly temporarily out of stock on Amazon.

The tech titan takes on an ambitious personal challenge every year. In previous years, he has tackled everything from learning Mandarin Chinese to writing thank you notes.
