Neil deGrasse Tyson, National Geographic Channel Teaming Up on New Late-Night Show

The National Geographic Channel is set to launch a late-night talk show hosted by noted astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson.
Star Talk, an extension of Tyson’s popular podcast of the same name, will be a “mixture of comedy, science and pop culture,” according to Tyson, who spoke at a television press tour event in California on Wednesday.
He said his aim is to have conversations with guests that detour “into science and all the ways science has influenced that person’s livelihood.”
Star Talk will be taped in front of a studio audience at the Hayden Planetarium in New York’s American Museum of Natural History. It will premiere in April.
