According to the Arlington Police Department, the woman said that she was at an Arlington bank when a man she did not know approached her and ordered her to take money out of her account. The man then forced her into the trunk of her own vehicle and drove away from the bank.

The woman described being driven to other banks where she said the suspect took more money from her bank account.

Police say that the suspect is believed to have stopped the vehicle at some point, allowing the woman a chance to escape. She ran to a nearby convenience store in Euless, Texas, where she called police at about 3:40 a.m.

When officers arrived, the woman took them to the location where her vehicle had been, but the car was not found. The vehicle was found later in Arlington.

Police described the suspect as a black man in his early 20s. He is believed to be about 5 feet, 6 inches tall with a short afro hairstyle. He was last spotted wearing a grey hooded jacket or coat and jeans.

The APD believes the suspect may be linked to another robbery at the same bank earlier Wednesday morning. The victim in that incident was a man using a walk-up ATM.
