Recall Announced for Chicken of the Sea Brand Tuna Cans

Photo by Tim Boyle/Getty Images(SAN DIEGO) — Tri-Union Seafoods LLC is recalling more than 2,000 cans of light tuna in water after it was determined that the cans may contain metal pieces from a broken piece of equipment.
According to a press release from Publix food stores, about 2,400 cans of Chicken of the Sea brand tuna were recalled. Those cans had been shipped to stores in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina.
Publix notes that no injuries had been reported in association with the recall, and no customers have reported finding metal pieces in the product.
