Winston seems intent on leading Florida State to another National Championship after a beat down at the hands of Oregon and Marcus Mariota in Saturday’s Rose Bowl.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be picking No.1 in the 2015 NFL draft. If both Mariota and Winston were to declare — they are both underclassmen — the Bucs would have a difficult choice to make. According to Scout.com’s Gil Arcia, Tampa Bay Head Coach Lovie Smith “was extremely impressed” by Winston’s performance, even in the loss, but is not convinced about the player’s availability.

This thought of Winston returning to Florida State was supported by Florida native and former NFL quarterback Shaun King.

Lil birdie telling me jameis is staying in school and will not enter the 2015 draft…..,” King said on Twitter.

While many thought it was just an evasive response, when asked by reporters what his plans for the future were after the Rose Bowl, Winston responded, “I’m not focused on that at all. I’m looking forward to next season and playing baseball. So I’m just trying to get better every day.”

The date to declare for the NFL draft is January 15.
