Rockwell explains, “It’s more PG-13 from the kids’ point of view. It won’t be like The Conjuring or something, it’s more like an adventure. It’s a family adventure kind of thing.”

Rosemarie DeWitt co-stars as Rockwell’s wife in the remake.

The new Poltergeist arrives in theaters July 24.

Rockwell can currently be seen on the big screen in the film dramedy Loitering with Intent, playing an Army veteran suffering from PTSD.
