Diamond told police he accidentally stabbed a man while the former child star was attempting to defend his fiancée, Amanda Schutz, who apparently took issue with a group of people taking the couple’s picture.

The alleged victim, Casey Smet, told cops he was attempting to apologize to the couple when things got physical between he and the actor; Smet also told investigators he didn’t realize he’d suffered a small stab wound in his leg in the altercation.

TV’s “Screech” was arrested at the scene and slapped with a number of charges, including carrying a concealed weapon, disorderly conduct, and second-degree recklessly endangering safety.

At a preliminary hearing on Monday, Ozaukee County Circuit Judge Paul Malloy deemed there to be probable cause to proceed to a trial.

The actor is currently free on $10,000 bail.
