After jumping to a 28-0 lead early in the second quarter, Tennessee never looked back.

It was Tennessee’s first bowl game victory since beating Wisconsin in the 2008 Outback Bowl when Phillip Fulmer was the head coach.

Sophomore quarterback Joshua Dobbs had an efficient game for Tennessee on Friday through the air, as he completed 16 of 21 passes for 129 yards with one touchdown and one interception.

As solid as Dobbs was, it was the running game that powered Tennessee past Iowa.

Dobbs added 76 rushing yards on 13 carries while also scoring two touchdowns. Jalen Hurd carried the ball just 16 times on the way to 122 rushing yards and two touchdowns.

Tennessee and Iowa both finish the 2014 season at 7-6.
