Tiger Shoots Worst Round of Career, Misses Cut
Published at(SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.) — Tiger Woods shot a professional worst 82 during second round play at the Waste Management Phoenix Open on Friday.
Woods missed the cut and failed to break 80 for just the second time in his professional career.
“We all have days like this,” Woods. “Unfortunately, mine was in a public forum, a public setting. We all have days like this. We take the good with the bad, and the thing is even on bad days like this, just keep fighting, because on the good days you’ve got to keep fighting, as well.”
Woods had six bogeys, two double bogeys and a triple bogey Friday.
This was Woods’ first event of 2015. He is expected to play at next week’s Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines.
