Muhammad has improved drastically this season after a rough rookie year. After averaging just 3.9 points while playing 7.8 minutes per game, Muhammad has looked like a different player this season. Now playing over 23 minutes per game, he’s averaging 13.7 points and 4.0 rebounds on 49 percent shooting.

He along with prized rookie Andrew Wiggins brought stability to the team’s offense.

Still, this is just the latest injury to a young Timberwolves team struggling to find wins. They also have point guard Ricky Rubio, guard Kevin Martin, and center Nikola Pekovic on the shelf. The team is hopeful all three will return in the near future.

The Timberwolves have the second-worst record in the NBA this season.
