Vanessa Carlton Gives Birth to a Baby Girl

The singer/songwriter and her husband, rocker John J. McCauley of the alternative band Deer Tick, welcomed a daughter.

“Thanks for all the sweet wishes on our daughter. She’s the quiet observer,” Carlton tweeted Tuesday. “We are in for it.”
