Anthony Davis to Skip All-Star Game

(NEW YORK) — New Orleans Pelicans center Anthony Davis will be the latest player to drop out of the NBA All-Star game.
The former first overall pick announced Wednesday that he will skip this weekend’s event thanks to a right shoulder sprain. He’s missed the last two games with the Pelicans as well.
In his third season, the 6’10” Davis is averaging 24.5 points, 10.3 rebounds and 2.6 blocks per game.
For the NBA All-Star game, coach Steve Kerr will replace Davis with a three guard lineup. He has chosen Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson to start in Davis’ place. James Harden and Steph Curry were already slated to start at both guard positions.
