April Auction to Feature 100 Carat ‘Internally Flawless’ Diamond
Published at(NEW YORK) — A 100-carat perfect diamond will be brought to auction in New York later this year.
According to Sotheby’s auction house, the diamond, which is classified as internally flawless, is estimated to sell for between $19 million and $25 million. The diamond “joins an elite group of just five comparable-quality diamonds over 100 carats that have ever been sold at auction worldwide.”
The diamond, originally bined by De Beers in southern Africa at a weight of over 200 carats, was studied, cut and polished for over a year. It will be exhibited in Dubai, Los Angeles, Hong Kong, London and Doha prior to the auction beginning on April 21.
