Benedict Cumberbatch Drops in on “Jimmy Kimmel” During Honeymoon

Randy Holmes/ABC(LOS ANGELES) — Benedict Cumberbatch surprisingly kept his scheduled appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Monday night, just two days after tying the knot.
The actor, who is up for best actor at this year’s Oscars, wed British theater director Sophie Hunter in England on Valentine’s Day.
“I felt bad about you not coming, so I thought I’d bring you in on the honeymoon,” Cumberbatch told Kimmel.
Kimmel congratulated Cumberbatch on his nuptials by offering him belated wedding gifts, including a loaf pan and avocado slicer.
Kimmel also addressed the “Cumberbun in the Oven,” asking the Imitation Game star if the baby would be taking his last name.
Cumberbatch replied, “Poor child, I think it’ll have to.”
