Derrick Rose to Have Surgery on Torn Meniscus
Published at(CHICAGO) — Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rose has a torn meniscus in his right knee and he will undergo surgery, according to the team.
Rose reported discomfort and pain in his right knee earlier in the day, and after an examination, the MRI confirmed the tear.
The team says the timetable for Rose’s injury won’t be determined until the surgery is over.
Rose has had a history of knee injuries beginning in Game 1 of the 2012 playoffs against the 76ers, when Rose suffered a torn ACL. He missed the entire following season, and after 10 games last year, he suffered another knee injury that sidelined him indefinitely.
