Adams spent three years at Eastern Washington and was a prolific player while a part of an FCS school. Adams threw for 10,438 yards and 110 touchdowns with 31 interceptions while completing 64.8 percent of his passes. He has also been named the Big Sky Offensive Player of the Year twice during his time with the school.

“I am very thankful for everything Vernon has done for Eastern and our football program these past four seasons,” Eastern Washington coach Beau Baldwin said in a statement. “I wish him nothing but the best in his senior season. We are very confident in the quarterbacks in our program, and our expectations and goals are the same for what we are capable of accomplishing in the 2015 season.”

If Adams does open the season as the Ducks’ starter, he’ll feel right at home as Oregon will open the season September 5 against Eastern Washington.
