Former NBA Player Anthony Mason ‘Fighting for His Life’
Published at(NEW YORK) — Former NBA forward Anthony Mason is “literally fighting for his life” due to a serious heart ailment, ESPN.com reports.
Mason suffered a heart attack a couple days ago and has had multiple surgeries at a New York hospital, sources told ESPN.com.
Mason was a part of the New York Knicks team that went to the 1994 NBA Finals. He played for five other teams, including the Miami Heat, who were coached by Pat Riley.
“Praying for my former teammate Anthony Mason!!!” former Knicks teammate Mark Jackson tweeted on Wednesday.
Mason made one All-Star team, in 2001, and finished his career with the Bucks.
