Italians Mock ISIS on Twitter After Threat

Fuse/Thinkstock(ROME) — After a threat from ISIS that it would take over Italy and throw gays off the “Leaning Tower of Pizza,” Italians have taken to Twitter to mock the militant group.  

Italians are posting photoshopped images of the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa made of stacked pizza pies and pictures of tilted stacks of cardboard boxes.

Last week, after ISIS warned it was just south of Rome, Italians tweeted, wishing them luck in making it to the city any time soon given all the public transit strikes, traffic bottle-necks and late trains.

They also mocked the militants’ fashion sense, saying thick sandals and combat suits won’t cut it in Italy, suggesting they slip into Dolce and Gabbana and Armani, which are far more flattering.
