Kevin Garnett Returns to Minnesota

Elsa/Getty Images(MINNEAPOLIS) — Power forward Kevin Garnett will return to the team with which he began his career.
Garnett agreed to drop his no-trade clause and he accepted a trade from the Brooklyn Nets to the Minnesota Timberwolves for Thaddeus Young.
The trade will give Garnett the chance to play out what might be his 20th and final NBA season as a member of the team that drafted him back in 1995 out of high school.
Garnett guided the Wolves to the only eight playoff appearances in the franchise’s history, and he won the MVP in 2004 while leading them to the Western Conference Finals.
