Michigan Upsets (23) Ohio State, 64-57
Published at(ANN ARBOR, Mich.) — Michigan picked up a much-needed win after taking down 23rd ranked Ohio State 64-57 on Sunday.
The Wolverines snapped a five-game losing streak.
Ohio State was behind the Wolverines by as much as 17 points in the second half before making a 14-0 run to make the game 49-46. A Zak Irvin 3-pointer kept the Buckeyes at distance though.
Spike Albrecht led Michigan with 16 points, five assists, four rebounds, and two steals. Even though he’s averaging just 6.4 points per game, he was arguably Michigan’s best player against Ohio State.
Along with his clutch 3, Irvin also chipped in with 15 points and seven rebounds.
Ohio State freshman guard D’Angelo Russell did all he could to keep the Buckeyes in the game. He scored 16 points with five rebounds and two assists.
