North America’s Best Airport Is Run by Hoosiers
Published at(NEW YORK) — New York’s JFK Airport, Chicago’s O’Hare Airport, and Los Angeles International Airport appear to have nothing on Indianapolis International Airport, according to an annual survey by the Airports Council International.
The ACI asked its users to rank some 300 airports across the globe on nearly three dozen metrics that included general atmosphere, comfort, and courtesy.
Coming in first of all airports in North America was Indianapolis, which caters to seven million passengers daily.
Proud airport executive director Mario Rodriguez said the key to success was “Hoosier hospitality.”
Rounding out the top five North American airports are those in Tampa, Florida; Jacksonville, Florida; Sacramento, California; and Ottawa, Ontario.
