Raptors Take Down the Hawks

Thomas Northcut/Digital Vision(ATLANTA) — The Toronto Raptors proved they are a team to be reckoned with after a 105-80 beat down of the first place Hawks in Atlanta on Friday.
Lou Williams led all scorers with 26 points, hitting seven of 10 3-pointers, and DeMar DeRozan added another 21 for the Raptors. Toronto outscored Atlanta 28-13 in the third quarter to turn the game into a 23-point lead.
“We were scrambling,” said DeRozan, who had three steals in the game. “We tried not to let them get anything easy. We didn’t want to let them get going, get a rhythm. As long as we do that, we can live with the outcome.”
Atlanta still holds a 5 1/2-game lead over Toronto in the Eastern Conference, however the Raptors won the season series over the Hawks; 3-1.
